The XML-style delimiters, the explicit framing of user content as “data not instructions,” and the direct instruction to flag injection attempts all improve resistance. They don’t guarantee safety, but they raise the bar.
Defense 3: Least-Privilege Tool Access
The blast radius of a successful injection attack is proportional to what the agent can do. An agent with access to only a read-only product database is far less dangerous to inject than one with write access to customer accounts, billing systems, and email.
Apply the principle of least privilege:

Defense 4: Human-in-the-Loop for High-Stakes Actions
